FOOD:We had come here for dinner on a Friday evening at around 7:00 pm after not being able to get into another restaurant that we were hoping to try; our visit here proved to be a big mistake. I had settled on the Chicken Pita ($8.99) and the Hummus ($5.99) for my meal, and my husband had settled on the Lamb Dinner ($17.99) for his. We had also opted for two cans of pop, which were stated on the menu to be $1.25 each however, we were charged $1.99 each (more on this to come). When I had placed my order for the Hummus, the young woman whom took our order had asked if I had wanted the Hummus to arrive before the Chicken Pita; I had said yes. I also stated that I didnt want onions in my Chicken Pita as the taste of them makes me feel unwell; she said this was not a problem. We then waited about fifteen minutes for our meals to arrive, which seemed somewhat reasonable as the restaurant was starting to get busy. Once my Chicken Pita arrived, I was told that the Hummus wouldnt be ready before the Chicken Pita; I was disappointed and had hoped that it would arrive beforehand however, was unable to do anything at that point. Once I had looked inside of my Chicken Pita, I saw that it was filled with onions, after I had told them that I didnt want onions. I went to the counter and told the girl that I didnt want onions in my Chicken Pita. She then took the plate quickly, and brought it back within two minutes, with a few onions STILL in the pita; you could tell that they just sloppily took the onions out, leaving some still inside. I picked-out the remaining onions, and ate the pita as is, which was disgusting, to say the least. The pita had five small pieces of chicken, with about four huge slices of halved-tomatoes, and some tzatziki sauce smeared on the pita itself. It was a very small item, and tasted as though it were thrown together in two minutes, with no thought or effort. I was VERY disappointed, and didnt enjoy the pita at all.In terms of the Hummus, it arrived about five minutes after the Chicken Pita had arrived. We have all had Hummus, and we can all agree that Hummus needs to be creamy in order to dip the pita into. Well, this Hummus was HARD, very similar to the texture of butter, making it IMPOSSIBLE to dip the pita wedges into. I had to use a knife to spread the Hummus on, which was a HUGE disappointment as I was craving to have real Hummus. After speaking with those whom are experts on making Hummus, I was told that this texture of Hummus is what comes directly out of a CAN, and that water should have been added to it to make it creamier. What a HUGE waste of money, it was the WORST Hummus that I had ever tasted in my life, definitely NO effort was put into making this Hummus look or taste good. In terms of the Lamb Dinner, my husband had mentioned that the lamb wasnt enough, and that it was dry. It was definitely a disappointing dinner, which made the money that we had spent on it seem worthless.ATMOSPHERE:When we had walked-in, it wasnt too crowded however, as we were sitting down waiting for our meals to come, it became crowded as people began coming-in. The restaurant was quite small, and with the front door swinging open and the back door wide open throughout our entire visit, it was quite cold in the restaurant. Also, the seating areas were small, and it was quite smelly and smoky, making it uncomfortable to sit for long periods of time. Definitely not a great place to enjoy a long dinner!SERVICE:When we had come into this restaurant, we were told that we could sit anywhere that we liked. Once we were seated, we were given menus, and placed our order with the waitress when she came back to take our orders. When the waitress came to tell me that my Hummus wouldnt be ready before the Chicken Pita, I was disappointed however, she was pleasant enough when telling me. However, when I had pointed out the onions in the Chicken Pita, she seemed abrupt, apologizing very quickly, then coming back with the few onions still remaining in the Chicken Pita. When it came to paying however, that was another story. We were given our bill, which stated that each can of pop cost $1.99, even though on the menu it had said $1.25, and even on the sign which was hanging behind the register. When we had pointed this out to the waitress, she quickly brushed us off, pointing to the sign at the front saying that food prices were increasing. We then stated that regardless of the food prices increasing, the price of the can of pop needs to be changed on the menus in order to reflect that increase. She then apologized quickly, with hardly a care in the world. She didnt want to call a manager, and didnt even offer any sort of compensation. We were very disgusted and upset with how this establishment could overcharge customers, and not even own up to it. What a HORRIBLE way to do business!COST:1 Chicken Pita ($8.99) + 1 Hummus ($5.99) +1 Lamb Dinner ($17.99) + 2 Cans Of Pop ($1.99 Each x 2 = $4.00) = $41.60 (Taxes Included)WOULD YOU RETURN?NO WAY! I would NEVER recommend anyone to come to this restaurant. The food is not that good, and they ripoff customers by overcharging them, and not owning up to their mistakes. HORRIBLE in more ways than one!
