  I absolutely love Thai food. As such I have been to many Thai restaurants. This one, is definitely one of the top. I would have never expected that from a small restaurant in a small remote town. The food is excellent and so is a service. Will definitely be coming back next time I’m in the area.

  The absolute best Thai food in the entire world!! I drive from Oshawa all of the time and truly I would drive from anywhere!! Everything is fresh and all the recipes are from scratch, the spring rolls and pad Thai is out of this world truly the best I’ve ever had !! plus the hospitality is amazing 🙂 12/10 would recommend for any foodies!! Love u Sammy!

  Great Thai!. Stumbled upon Bualai looking for not your run of the mill 401 food, and we were more than pleasantly surprised! Started with delicious Spicy Curry Spring Rolls that were top notch! Followed by 54. Peanut chicken and red chicken curry. Very delicious!

  All around bad experience. First I would like to say I have eaten Thai food for many, many years from many different locations so when I say my dinner tonight at Bualai was very substandard I like to think I am coming from an informed place. First off our dinner took an hour and a half, the wait for food was over an hour on a Tuesday with the place not even close to full. Two of us received our dinners (finally) and the third person in our party was made to wait an additional ten minutes. The server never once asked how our food was, my curry was bland and watery, my husband’s was so oily he left the majority in the dish. In addition, my husband informed the server of his food allergy and requested no tofu, his dish came with tofu, and when I asked if the soup was appropriate our server said he would check but just brought the dish without saying whether my hubby could eat it. At the end of our dinner I asked if the wait time for dinner was normal and the server said it was busy but honestly he just seemed surprised we were bothered by the wait. The lady at the counter said they forgot to make the one dish that is why one of our party was made to sit there while the others ate. There was no offer to pay for our appetizer or take off ten percent from the cheque or any token gesture to say sorry we hope you understand this service is not normal and we hope you come back. Overall a truly disappointing dinner and one I hope to never repeat.

  My Husband and I went for dinner. We had an app irises spring rolls spicy – thy were delicious. I had tiger shrimp (hot) with veg – it came in two plates one with the rice and the other with shrimp and veg – it was good, although I didn’t find it spicy enough. My husband had chicken with veg – he loved it. Service was a bit slow. I would go again I really liked the taste of the food, but found I was hungry a short time later, as I ha the shrimp, so if your a big eater then you should order an extra appetizer or more rice.

  Bad Take Out!. We ordered five meals for a celebration at home and were quite disappointed with what we picked up. The order was not correct and they missed an appetizer we had placed. All the meals were greasy and tasteless and not much when it came to meat or seafood. We have always enjoyed the meals at the restaurant but as for take out do not go that route. When we called to complain about the order they said we would receive a free ‘spring roll order’ (wow $5.99) next time. There will not be a next time. This was the worst Thai food we have ever had!

  I love their tamarind fish and have also never had a better Pad Thai any where else.
