This is a very nice place to unwind and relax. $5 getsyou warm scones and zucchinibread plus a pot or two of tea. The building is quaint and supposedlyone of the oldest in the town. The crafts consist of pottery, knitted and woven items and other handmade goods. I was quite surprised at how inexpensive and high quality the crafts were. One other BONUS – no tax is charged! I suppose that’sbecause they are a volunteer, not for profit organization. Will definitely go back in the spring when I need to buy some more gifts.

Quaint And Charming. E: Burr House is a small tea house serving tea, scones, marmalades, jams and butter. The limited menu, if one could even call it that, is part of the charm. They might also have fruit juices and coffee, but frankly as a tea house one sits at Burr House for afternoon tea and scones.-A: The ambiance of Burr House is that of a 19th century tea house completed with chalk and caulking, a wooden tables and chairs and all the art that Burr House sells.Burr House is a Richmond Hill heritage house, which also sells art from local artists, and it is in that atmosphere that one sits.It is adorable and charming.-T: The lady or gentleman that serves tea is a volunteer and is happy to steep tea and serve everything quickly in china. Parking is in the back off Carrville Boulevard. A few cars are parked there belonging to potters, shoppers or the volunteers.-S: The person serving tea at the Burr House is a volunteer who serves a snack or tea. This implies the person is happy to engage in a conversation or leave one alone. The kind and casual service is again part of the attraction. As mentioned, Burr House is the home of local art and pottery. Whether one buys art or not Burr House is also a nice stroll to take in a painting, a pot or some other handicraft.
