Specials on fridays are sick.. Happy hour half price tall cans of canadian and coors light (2pm – 6pm) and half priced appetizers from (4-6pm). Good food, and great staff – what else do you need?ITS A PUB!NOT CANOE IN THE TD CENTRE DOWNTOWN!You are not going to a pub to meet the queen of England. All these stuck up people giving a bad review are just clearly expecting way too much from a pub. This is an english/Irish style pub. Some people would argue and say that the way pubs are these days is more of a restaurant. This bar looks like any Firkin pub ( with better service). Its small so getting noticed by the server/ bar tender is extremely easy. Yes the men there are old.. but assuming they want to get into your pants cause you are younger then them is kind of a step too far.. and shouldn’t be included in a review. I’ve talked with plenty of these dudes there and they are just older or retired men annnnnd women..
2018/02/03It was a Saturday evening, and we were in the mood for a pub for dinner. Not too far away from us is King Henrys Arms. Weve been there a couple of times over the years, and it was time for another visit. It is a very casual, cozy, British-style pub. It was only about half full, and we grabbed one of the comfortable booths. SWMBO felt like having their Chicken Tenders. She got about half a dozen pretty large pieces. They were crispy and crunchy on the outside, and pretty tender on the inside. Not bad. I went for a simple Garden Salad, and added Grilled Chicken. Nothing fancy, but done right. Service was pretty good.
Grotesquely unmaintained. Needed paint 10 years ago. Windowsare opaque from dirtfor crying out loud.Dirty, dingy, fully gross. Look at the walls, look at the floor, look wherever you want, there hasn’t been a nickel spent on maintaining or cleaning this place in a decade, at least.I was spanked for trying, and failing to find a plug-in for my laptop. Not that it mattered, their internet didn’t exist, I used the McDonalds next door. Avoid this terrible, terribledump. Its a dive fit for, well, I don’t know what.
3 star for having Seasonal Craft Beer on draft1.5 star for foodI have been to King Henry’s Arms numerous time and I now come to a conclusion that I would not going to eat here again. Love their beer selection but the food item was more a miss 80% of the time.Just don’t ever order their Yorkshire pudding dipping. It was burnt and bitter outside and not cooked inside. The waitress at first told us that ‘s how it suppose to be?! But after I insisted, she ended up taken it off the bill +0.5 star.Mon-Fri half price app which is ok price as I doubt I would have paid $7.50 for the basket of onion rings or waffle fries.I would continue to have a pint of Black Oak or Lakes of Bay or whatever local craft beers on tap as pre or post dinner drink.
Great people great food. Friendly staff with a good atmosphere and great food. One of my favorite places to stop in for a bite and a pint!!
Dive bar…and not in a good way. The drinks are pretty pricey and while the staff is nice, this place is scummy. everyone who hangs out here is an inbred loser. seriously, go to a wing/sports bar instead. yuck.
