It has been years since we have been to O Mei, so we were long overdue for a visit. The restaurant was more than half full at dinner time on Saturday, but we were able to get a nice table for two, right beside the huge crab tank.We started out with a small Hot and Sour Soup (serves 2). The soup was more sour than hot, and loaded with tofu, which Was good for me, but was too much tofu for SWMBO’s liking. That meant I got more than my fair share. Then it was on to Spring Rolls. They were relatively large, and they were less greasy, compared to other restaurants. This is a good thing, of course. Next were the main dishes: First was Beef with Mushrooms. Lots of sauted button mushrooms, which I like. However the mushrooms slippery, and some were very difficult to pick up with chopsticks. The second dish was Diced Chicken and Cashew with Brown Bean Sauce. I really liked this dish. The caramelization of the mildly sweet bean sauce gave a little crispy texture to the outside of the chicken.
