Because it is the suburbs. I am not going to give them a bad review (yet – ill see after a few more visits) but the waitresses are thinner downtown and the food is better. Still good but really needs to shape up and be like downtown because we DO have options here in the suburbs.

Scottish Hooters – it’s crap!!!. Having been to the TK in Myrtle Beach, I had been awaiting the opening of this location in Richmond Hill. Unfortunately, we were thoroughly disappointed, and not just because they didn’t have Tennent’s on tap. The fish and chips (cod) was the worst that I’ve ever had – not an exaggeration – THE WORST! Chips were of the frozen variety and we we cold and absolutely tasteless. The cod (I’m still not convinced that it was cod) was mush and greasy. The burgers were OK at best. Either way, the food isn’t worth the cost. Much better food is available elsewhere at prices equal to or less than at TK. The service/waitresses: service was mediocre, but those poor girls. I’m sure this was the first waitressing job for many of them, after all, why would any women with something to offer subject themselves to this outfit. A decent girl with some brains and a personality would likely be making more money at many of the other establishments in the area. As a 50 year old man, I was embarrassed for these women. Will I be back? Maybe for a Leafs playoff game, but in all likelihood, no. And definitely not for the food.

It was a disaster. The chips nachos were bad, calamari had been fried too long, and was dry, steak came out in 5 minutes and was overdone. To top it all off, they charge $10 cover charge per person for UFC fight night per person after 10pm. Absolutely ridiculous that they tell us this at 9:30pm when it’s too late to get another table at another pub. They didn’t tell us when we booked a table, not when we sat down, and not one of our friends arrived late. We even checked their website, and not a single word mentioned. Terrible business practice.
