White Orchid is wonderful little restaurant with quite a few special dishes available. There is a medium sized but surprisingly extensive menu that includes curries, rotis, crab, fried tofu, lobster, laksa, fried noodles, and satay.On separate occassions I have tried their curry chicken with roti, which is delicious, wasabi mayo prawns, salted egg golden prawns, and fish tofu balls. Each dish was quite flavourful and a treat.This is definitely a place I would come back to, it is worth the drive up to Richmond Hill!
Disapointed. We saw a review on York Region cable and thought the restaurant looked good. We drove from Newmarket on a Wednesday night to find a hand written note on the door saying they were closed till Friday. We were very disappointed and then had to waste time trying to find another restaurant. Won’t be going back, very unprofessional.

Worse customer service ever. Reserved a table at 7 I arrive at 650and hostess gives away 2 tables without reservation and asks me to wait for the next table which by looks would have taken 45 min. What’s the point in having reservation when you don’t Follow it. Do not recommend here at all.
