Charming elegant ambiance made even more attractive by being open for dinner only on Fridays and Saturdays. The attentive and elegant hostess creates a continental presence of professionalism. The food was exquisite – My friend and I shared the Samosas with a cold Okra/Palm Hearts salad (pictured in low light) followed by Fish Vendaye with my friend having the Fish in Ginger Sauce. All Excellent. Only caution during the cold Canadian winter are the two two-person tables by the entrance to avoid.
Yes- you should go here.. Perfect place to grab a tasty bite before going to the Review Cinema. The place was very nice, affordable, great service – and the food was lovely. I really enjoyed the shrimp soup and the curry shrimp dish. Everything tasted so fresh. I would recommend this place.
Nice evening out. Was pleasantly surprised with the food. It’s a small restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. The food was reasonably priced and tasty. No menu online and no website so I’m happy it worked out. Food is a combination of indian and chinese food with a twist, vaguely reminded me of hakka.
This place should packed every night. Coming back here was a trip to the 1990’s–the prices, beer and wine list haven’t changed. These are all good reasons to keep coming back: amazing food made from scratch and pleasant service. Many nearby trendy restaurants have lineups, but for a delicious affordable meal this is the place. Try any of the seafood entrees and you’ll be happy.
Charming and Delicious!. The food is great! Full-bodied broth with shrimp is so good on a cold night. The salad is crisp and tart w/ chopped okra. The fish is pan seared to crispiness and smothered in a refreshing sauce. Tender, tender, tender octopus curried in deliciousness. Each entree comes with a side. Great place for just two or bring some friends and order a bunch of mains to share! It’s a family run restaurant; very welcoming, fantastic service. Will visit again and again.
Wonderful service (though expect it to be slow), great atmosphere, and really good food. The condiments are really great – the garlic sauce is so delicious. Two of us ate for $80 including apps, main course, bottle of wine, and tip! Will return!
Good food though inconsistent at times. When it’s good it’s amazing; when it is less so it’s still good but disappointing if you’ve had it at it’s best. Service very slow but food fresh and hot – obviously not prepared in advance.
