Um okay well, this was my second choice (key word: second). A spit within a neighbourhood – just randomly in between houses WHAT?!! WHY?! Who approved this and why? It did look a little cute though. Sadly, I ate half of my oatmeal pancakes with seasoned potatoes – My savoury potatoes was hugging the sugary syrup for my pancakes. If I want to have pancakes, I want the good kind- not oatmeal. Service was horrible. Hot chocolate was horrible. Lets just say, UGHS!
The food was over priced FOR THE QUALITY SERVED. Whipped cream from a can and eggs out of a premix box. We ordered french toast and pancakes for $14 per dish and it definitely didn’t stand up to our expectations. The service was slow and non professional. We asked them to change the pancakes because the we’re cold ( after waiting for more than 15 mins for butter) and the resistance was very obvious in her tone of voice, although the server did finally change it. All together this first visit has convinced me not to go back, ever again.
Yay, brunch! I’m open to a place that has a constantly-changing menu, but it might be a barrier to folks with dietary restrictions. The day we went, the daily poach was a three mushroom bruschetta with parmesan cheddar thyme sauce. I wanted to eat it forever. Cute location!
Great cafe! You can’t go wrong with the poach. While my partner had that, I opted for the Omelet. Fabulous! I’d like to see them using a heat lamp because at times by the time the food reaches you it’s not as hot as I’d like it. Non the less I am so grateful to have this cafe in my neighborhood.
Cold Food, didn’t like. I went to try Mitzi’s as I had heard alot of things about it but I was very disappointed. I ordered one of the egg scramble concoctions but got mushrooms in mine even though the menu did not list them in it, and all of the food on my plate was cold. The toast was rock hard so you could eat only part of it
Love this place. Even though the menu changes from time to time the food is always amazing. Had the omelette today which was filled with Colombian chorizo, arugula and goad cheese and was it was incredible. Decent portions and well priced. It’s always busy there so you may have to wait for a table but its certainly worth the wait.
Awesome!!. I ate at Mitzi’s and it was awesome. A couple of friends joined me. I had the pancake which was oatmeal and butter milk. It was awesome. The topping change each week. This week was vanilla cream and Skor bar. My friends had scrambled eggs and one had a poached egg on a homemade biscuit. It was good. Home made potatoes (I need that recipe) fresh juice and good coffee (hard to find in the city). Awesome place. I highly recommend it.
