Celebrated my girlfriends birthday here with perfectly cooked, delicious seafood risotto! They even sprinkled M&M’s (her favorite) on a gluten free cake with candle. Thanks Raca for making it a special night!
I love everything about this quaint spot! I have been three times now and each time it gets better! The food is delicious and you can really see all the love and hard work put in to the food. The Gnocchi is one of the best I have ever tasted, very light and fluffy! The space is small but that only makes the experience better!
The mushroom Risotto was amazing as were the scallops and asparagus. We did brunch a few weeks back and were convinced to try dinner and were not disappointed. A great birthday meal!
This spot is in its second or third reincarnation, and it would appear to be problematic. The room is quite small, and on a hot night (which it was) would have been unbearable. Fortunately we were on the patio, which is one of the better ones. There was an air of too much for one chef to pull off. Wait staff of two was part friendly, part overworked-looking. The menu featured very interesting items on paper. Dates stuffed with stilton and bacon-wrapped were almost completely dominated by the bacon taste, rather than a measured balance of the 3 ingredients, which could have been divine. Pasta with seafood – seafood items were properly cooked, but there was not enough pasta for the amount of sauce, which was too oily and way too salty. Extra bread requested for all this sauce was charged for.All of this wouldn’t be so bad if entrees were in the $12-18 range. But $20-25 takes a restaurant to a level that Raca is not at. I say go back to learn more from Mark.
