Its sad that we dont have access to fresh ocean fish in Toronto, but Sushi Nomi brings the best. Its got some of the freshest and most delicious sushi in Toronto, in the two times Ive visited (I want to go back again and again). There are only around 4 seats in the place, and it’s not fine dining, but if you can, eat in. Theres a sushi counter displaying ready made sushi, but your best bet is to order off the chalkboard (try to get there early as many of the popular items get snapped up). Skip the fancy rolls and ask whats best. Fish is Ocean Wise. Soy sauce is cured in house and served in a teeny cup. Good thing, as much of the sushi is so good it barely needs it. healthydelicious.ca

Had the Sushi Saiko, the chef’s selections of the day. Great fish. The sushi rice is also fantastic. Very glad to have discovered this place and can’t wait to come again.

Our Favourite Takeout Sushi Spot. Sushi Nomi is our favourite takeout sushi spot! Our go-to order is Sashimi B, Spicy Salmon or Scallop and a Hot Night roll. They have frequently surprised us with creative dishes tailor-made for special occasions, such the photo we added for our Anniversary. The fish is always fresh and melts in your mouth. Specials are available every day which are posted inside. The home made soya sauce is terrific and the salad dressing is delicious. The staff are friendly and courteous and Jun Kim is a fabulous chef. This is by far one of the best and most consistent, yet lesser known, sushi places in Toronto.

Usually good, avoid Saturday night. This place is usually good but beware Saturday nights (and possibly a couple other nights) when two guys are behind the counter. Not only are they consistently unable to get your order right (even easy ones) but the sushi is terrible. The rice is bad and the fish isn’t cut properly. It’s really a shame because when the chef and woman are behind the counter the sushi is fantastic. I hope they do some quality control, train their staff, and get rid of inconsistencies.

Bought three 6 pc rolls and a side of brown rice for about $20, and everything was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Amazing fresh fish. Every piece in their chirashi bowl is delicious, which is not the usual case with affordable take out sushi. The owner really cares about quality. This is my weekly to go to sushi!
