2018/03/17It was St Patricks Day, so we were avoiding pubs and the associated crowds and waiting. Instead we decided on having dinner at The Thai, just a few doors down from a popular Irish pub. It wasnt very busy, so we had no problem getting a table. Rather than ordering Pad Thai (one of our standard Thai dishes), we decided to change it up a bit. SWMBO chose the Tamarind Beef from the Wok menu. The beef had mild ginger coating on it, that gave it a slight crispiness. The sweetness of the tamarind, combined with the texture, made it a tasty dish. I opted for the Spicy Eggplant from the Veggies menu. It was hot enough to give me a mild perspiration. The pieces of eggplant ware cooked all the way through, and soft, just the way I like it. Lots of stir fried veggies were mixed in, such as carrots, red and green peppers, snow peas, and onions. The veggies were cooked just right, and had some good crunch left in them. Good meal

Best food in bloor west village. I was started with fish cake and mango salad and i ordered The Thai Pad Thai from chef selection. I like tamarind sauce in pad thai, very tasty. Service was good, the waitress always smile 🙂 and friendly.

Had the Spicy Basil for lunch (which was cheap and came with soup/salad and a spring roll) and it was some of the best food I’ve ever had.

Gets better every time. I have lived in this area for a few years and seen this location through many incarnations and different names. The original place, thai4you was great, the places in between were awful, so I was happy to see another new name, a few new faces and give it a shot again. The first time I got take-out I was pleasantly surprised, it was good again, and since then I have ordered a few times a month and it seems to just get better each time. As expected there have been a few minor ‘misses’ with one or two dishes that weren’t fantastic, but over-all, the food I have had recently from the Thai, have been spot on, as long as they keep it up, I will keep going back.

Take Out. First time there, took vegetarian curry takeout. Food was decent for under $10. Will probably go back again.
