Food seems more than fine to me. In response to some of the recent criticism about the food, I feel as though I should just add my two-cents. I’ve never been before but was in the area and had about an hour to kill, so I stopped in for a pint and bite. There was a sign outside indicating a new menu or new chef or something to that effect. I’m not sure how long it’s been since this has been the case but my meal was quite good. Excellent veggie burger and the fries were very tasty. Attentive service as well.I’m really not in the area very often and probably won’t be anytime soon, but I certainly recommend it as a nice neighborhood pub with good grub.
Terrible. Been a customer for over 2 years. Since spring 2012, the food has been on a crash course with crap. It was awesome before… Now.. Ill not frequent this pub again ever. Made me feel like im being ripped off, again. How does a pub ,that serves breakfast, not have milk?( Corner store is 20 ft west of the front door!) seriously..They have great tea pots and cups not the silver spilly ones.. No milk. So the server brings you cream and says its that or nothing. Fish and chips; chips soggy from cole slaw with too much juice, crispy batter and mushy, gooey fish inside. The upstairs bar tender had one table of 2, us, but felt lighting tea lamps was more important than serving us. Plus he is a kid who will not speak but when he does.. Man! It’s either yes or no, like he’s got something too important on his mind, to waste effort on you. An Irish pub that can’t make fish an chips proper, eh?
Great pub, but beware, the hot wings are really hot.
Poor food , nice pub. I’ve been going here for a decade and love this place but the food has really gone downhill in the past two years. A real shame!
This place is one of my all time fave pubs. So much character and good inexpensive food.
Fabulous ambieance where everyone knows your name layer back good times
A nice Irish-style pub, with reasonably priced food. Good beer selection, including some local micro brews. Only complaint is the lack of Interac Direct Debit payment. Either cash or Visa/Mastercard are accepted. During the spring through to the fall, it has a very spacious heated backyard patio. Bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible. Overall one of the best places to have a brew on the Bloor strip from Dundas to Keele.
