Failed concept. The tea was good, however, comparable to other places in Ottawa. The panini’s were lacking in flavour and the toppings were sparse. There was nothing about the place that would make me want to return. They’re lucky they’re so close to the University, young students are probably the only people who would go there.
This place is absolutely adorable. The moment you walk in, you can smell the fragrant teas they hold in the tea house. I ordered a vanilla latte as well as a turkey panini. The latte was alright, not the best, but not bad at all. The panini however, was delicious. Mainly, the bread. It was a beautiful mixture of crunchy and soft. I could tell the dough had raised properly. I would recommend going here just for the bread. On top of that, the service is very good. I did not have to wait long for my order and the workers there were very kind. For the price they charged, this place is great.
Cute little tea spot in Sandy Hills very close to campus. I stopped here with a friend for a light lunch. The place was pretty empty so it felt a little too quiet. I chose the Fleur Tea breakfast sandwich which came with a free coffee. The sandwich was presented on an English muffin and was composed of an egg, cheese, spinach, tomato and mushrooms. It was quite tasty. The mushrooms were very earthy and the sandwich was very fresh and light. The service was a little slow but it’s still a great spot to study. Their coffee is strong and flavourful
Owner is very rude, never going back. I don’t write reviews often, but this place is especially bad. Even though I’m close by and love coffee and tea, I do not want to support a business owner so rude to customers.
Lovely afternoon tea. We went to Fleur Tea House for afternoon tea on Mother’s Day and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and their selection of teas was exceptional. We all left very happy. We will be back for sure!
Terrible experience. I don’t normally write reviews to things, but feel I should warn people about this place, as I had quite a bad experience there yesterday. We were handed out ‘the wrong menus’, which apparently had old prices on them. At the end of the meal, when we pointed out to what I suspect is the owner that we expected them to honour the prices we used in making a decision, he started yelling at his staff, called them idiots for giving us the wrong menus. Then he threw the interac machine towards me and told me: I hope you never come here again. We fully intend to do so. I don’t expect this place to last long if this is how he treats his customers and staff.
Please improve. I have been here twice for lunch as I work in the area. Both times have been disappointing. The first I tried the spinach salad – the spinach was wilty and the dressing was watery.Recently, I had a lentil soup and a wrap. The soup had zero flavour. It was embarrassing how much salt my friend and I had to add to it! As well as the table next to us … The wraps were nothing but salad with a lot of salad dressing inside a pita. Really underwhelming. Even the tea I had, though tasty, was unremarkable (chai). I would give this one a pass.
