What an amazing, authentic local haunt. Both the service, the food and the value are top notch and after my first visit, it was clear to me it would become a regular dinner option. 10$ beer pitcher, a 15$ burger that was the double the size of your average pub burg and an amazing array of homemade dipping sauces. It’s in the middle of nowhere so you know that it has to be good in order to survive. On the random Thursday we went the place was hopping and were lucky to grab the last table. Can’t recommend it enough!
Just ok. Average food and average prices. Being new to Sandy Hill, I want to experience all local establishments. The reviews on this site paint a much better picture than what I experienced.

Disgusting!!!. If you love deep fried pickles as much as I do……get as far away from this place as possible! Imagine eating dried out paper that has been soaking in brine and then salted so much a dead person would get sick on it….that comes close to what you can expect from this place. I asked my table mate to try them in case I was being biased having enjoyed the pickles from the Royal Oak at length. His assessment: like eating sweaty cock……’nuff said.
Fantastic. 9 times out of ten your going to get a moderately priced meal that is going to be packed with flavor and great portions I’ve had one poor dining experience but besides that it’s almost always great. It’s really nice to see a great restaurant open up in the heart of sandy hill
