We enjoyed a wonderful dinner for two at Sitar. The portions were perfect and the food was delicious over the three courses that we had. With the dinner we split a bottle of white wine that was very well priced. Service was excellent. Overall a very good restaurant at a very good price.

Love, love this Restaurant. I am someone who has not had very much Indian food before. I was very excited when I came to this restaurant for dinner one night. The decor was pretty nice, seemed like a different atmosphere! We were seated by the gracious serveurs, who gave us the attention we needed. We ordered the sheek kebab, the samosas, the butter chicken and the lamb curry, everything tasted awsesome! Just thinking about it makes my mouth watery! I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other dishes. Alll in all, a nice restaurant with awesome food and service!

Worst food ever. Nothing authentic or tasty. Went as a group and ordered veggie pakoras, butter chicken, naan, beef vindaloo, lamb korma, shami kabab, and seekh kabab. The only good thing was the seekh kabab. Nothing else. I’m sad and disappointed at the taste and quality of the food. I would never go back and not recommend anyone to go either. The only thing nice was the service. The waiter was kind and patient and attentive.

They don’t really want you to eat here!. I former colleague and I met for lunch at the Sitar last week. We entered the restaurant at about 12:35PM to find exactly two other guests – nonetheless, it took one of the two persons behind the bar (and anxious looks from our table) a good ten minutes to approach the table to take orders for drinks or food. No matter, we were there for the buffet – pretty standard stuff, decent but not memorable beyond the stale naan and papadum. The real surprise came when at dessert we asked whether we might order a chai. Apparently not so easy to get in an Indian restaurant at lunch. We were asked whether we had noticed the time. I checked my watch – 1:50 PM. We were then told that the restaurant closed at 2:00 PM and that we would need to hurry up so that he could leave by 2:10 at the latest. At the end of it all, he could not be moved to bring the bill to the table – restaurant empty at this point – we had to go to the cash register where we were lectured about the Sitar not being a lunchtime restaurant and that they didn’t really cater to luncheon guests.I’m not sure why the Sitar remains in business given this sort of attitude. I do not believe that there was any intentional attempt to be rude to us but perhaps some sub-continental attitudes to service may have been lost in translation. Those who are stuck in the area are unlucky. I’ll take my clientele somewhere else with superior food and service.

The number of good reviews of this restaurant is suspicious to me. When I visited Sitar there was no one else there at dinner time. The food was neither the best nor worst Indian I’ve had but I was disappointed that it was only warm, not piping hot like you would expect fresh food to be. We were pleasantly surprised when we were offered extra naan free of charge but were disappointed to find it was quite stale. I will not be going back here.

Sigh.. Seriously underwhelmed. Service was serviceable, space is very attractive, but the various courses were quite indistinguishable. Shan’t be returning.

Best Indian Food Ever!. I just went to the Sitar a few days back with a few friends of mine! It was one of our best decisions! We walked in and were warmly welcomed by the elegant servers. They were smiling brightly. The restaurant itself was pretty busy but they found a good table for us. We ordered the pakura for an appetizer. It was so good, it came with this delicious sauce as well! Then we had the butter chicken, fish masala, and tarka dall with some rice and naan. The food was absolutely delicious! It was all warm and fresh! The service was really good, food came on time! The servers were attentive to us the entire time. We all really enjoyed the meal and were left completely satisfied! It seemed like a lot of the other customers really enjoyed the experience as well! This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to! We will definitely be back and I will definitely bring more of my friends to give this play a try! There is absolutely nothing bad to say! Anybody that could is to be declared as insane! It really is the best! Everything was perfect!I highly recommend this place!
