Went to this place after reading about it on a blog. Decent asthetics inside. Nothing fancy- but does the job when you want to go to a low priced restaurant. The Food – good quantity and the quality is not bad either. Although I haven’t been to many hakka places, but this is not bad. You will not absolutely love the food but you will not dislike it either. The guy who served us was pretty chill as well.Verdict -go there when you want to try hakka and you are not fussy about the interiors and the food. And most importantly – when you want to eat out without spending 20 bucks on a single meal !
Ordered takeout based on a recommendation and got their Bombay shrimp and Hakka masala chicken which was awesome!Based on this, we decided to dine in for a family occasion the following month and expected to have an amazing dinner. Since the menu suggests that they offer a mix of hakka and indian dishes, we decided to order their haleem and gosh along with a few other hakka dishes. To our disappointment, we were told that none of the indian dishes were available except for chicken biryani. To add to this, the rest of the ordered dishes (soup, tandoori fried rice and crispy beef) were way below the mark. They were un salted and the crispy beef did not taste like meat at all!Only thing we enjoyed was the Mango shake and the rest was pretty disappointing. The ambience is fairly dark and dull. There are barely any customers for dine in and most order takeout.
One of my favorite places in the GTA when I think about hakka chinese or Indian food. The most delightful thing is the service. Fast, patient, friendly and very efficient. We were 5 and we ordered for 10. Couldn’t finish it up. The food was very filling and very delicious.Started with the shrimps, chicken lollipops and paneer tikkas. Ordered rogan josh, mutton masala, mix veg, chicken noodles, manchurian, beef noodles, veg fried rice and naans for the main course along with mango shakes. Best dinner in a while. The best thing was the cheap price of food. Didn’t cost us more than 15 a piece. The whole place has a good ambiance. Very clean and hygienic.P.S – Make sure you order the mango shake and not mango lassi. The lassi was the only chink in the armor.
