The food and service here were what you would expect from an old-time diner. My server was pleasant and attentive. My meal was greasy and delicious. That said, after paying $18 (after tax & tip) for a 3 egg breakfast with coffee added, I feel a bit gouged. While the food and service would have me return, unfortunately, the price will not.
Staff were warm and inviting. That is the only thing this place has going for it. I think the bacon was yesterday’s and just reheated. The grease was coagulated. Would never go back.
A bit too pricey for an OKAY breakfast. The staff is friendly and this restaurant definately has its regulars. I found the breakfast to be mediocore and the orange juice refreshing, but way overpriced! (A glass of orange juice was $6!). Although I liked the ambience, i’d rather pay 1/2 the price and get a similar meal at eggsmart.
Peameal Bacon and Eggs. The 3 egg special is too die for 5 star16 Aug, 2014Amazing breakfast. Amazing breakfast , Peter the owner was the most gracious host , offered me a freshly squeezed oh while I waited for take out. Quick clean and efficient. Like a Swiss watch!
What is with the prices?. Holy! Can we say overpriced??!! That’s just plain crazy to charge so much for breakfast! Take a pass..it’s totally not worth it.
Worst Dive. The Wexford is without a doubt the worst dive I’ve ever been in. WAY OVERPRICED! Cheapest rich owners in Toronto. Avoid at all costs.
Will visit again. The food was great and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was very relaxed and retro. Will definitely return
