Used to go to the Wexford for many years but their prices are now out of this world. I took my dad their for Fathers day 3 years ago and a simple breakfast with a small orange juice was $38 before tip! My dad felt bad that I was buying. Never went back again. There are many better places around. I guess they feel they can charge those prices because the cameras come in there now and then during elections.
This place is high on its own horse. Its a classic staple in Scarborough, but its over rated. The staff are nice the restaurant is clean enough, but the food is over priced and so is the fresh squeezed orange juice.2 people eating a filling breakfast with drinks is $35(with tax and tip) it seems a little bit pricy. Go to Bendale at McCowan and Lawrence- $25 for 2 people’s breakfast with drinks tax and tip.
Just ok not good enough to return. Stopped here for breakfast with my kids, the Wexford being somewhat of an urban legend for its breakfast but unfortunately it wasn’t anything special. Service was good waitress very friendly amd nice, breakfast was pricy, I had the egg breakfast which was ok, my kids had the pancakes and couldnt even eat them they tasted that bad. I thought they were being dramatic because how can pancakes taste bad, so I tried them and sure enough the worst tasting pancakes I ever ate. Its an ok spot if you are in the area, but I wouldnt go out of my way to eat here, and avoid the pancakes.
