2018/11/04Sweet Maple is a breakfast and lunch restaurant in Port Perry. It’s possible that it has been around for a while, but it sits in a small stip mall, where it occupies two store fronts, and is not very conspicuous. It doesn’t have a big sign out front, so my guess is that it is mosty known to people from the area. The restaurant has seating for about 50, and it was about half full when we arrived shortly after noon, filling up while we had our lunch. The front room has open tables, while the side room (which is larger), is all booth seating. SWBMO opted for the Tuna Melt from the Sandwiches and Burgers section of the menu, which came with a side of fries. The tuna salad was smothered with melted Swiss cheese. It tasted fine, but she thought it could have used a bit more tuna. I ordered the Western Omelette, which was three large eggs, loaded with ham, bacon, peppers, and cheddar cheese. A proper Western. The home fries were okay, and the fresh Rye Texas Toast was pretty good. Service was fine. No complaints.
