First and LAST visit. Finally stopped here for dinner because my 14 year old daughter asked. I had the 1/2 rack of ribs and her the fish and chips. The portion size was large for both, the waitress was nice and attentive but the language from the kitchen was atrocious and could clearly be heard in the dining room. In all the places I’ve eaten this is the first time I have ever heard the staff clearly swearing and cursing. Would not recommend this place to anyone!
AMAZING SERVICE!!. The Shire, being the coziest place in the town of Simcoe happens to have many options that other restaurants do not have. Their service is the best and I recommend that anyone whom enjoys a inexpensive, enjoyable breakfast to come and try The Shire! Also, Monday nights starting next week 49c Fusion Wings are available!!18 different flavors of wings and 6 different local brewed beers on tap! The owners are very involved in their business and tend to their customers just as much as their lovely waitresses. The restaurant itself is very clean and organised. I am just super excited for their homemade micro- brewery that is coming soon! As a waitress at The Shire, I have to say that there is no other place I would rather bring my family and friends to enjoy a meal!
Good place to eat!. In the early stages this restaurant had a lot of issues-mostly staff related. Since opening there has been restructuring including all new staff and an all new menu. Come on in and give them a try, I gave them a 2nd shot and I’m glad I did!Wings are of A1 quality. Try The Shire Special wings or the Honey Garlic and Thai, those are some of my favorites! Breakfast is my new favorite in town!
The worst. They lure people in with the cheap prices and the hobbit theme. It would be a great restaurant if the staff were a little more aware. I ordered take out, two pancakes and one wrap that was supposed to come with homefries and beans, and I paid extra to also get grilled tomatoes on the side. They packed up my stuff and I was on my way. Only when I got home did I realize that they not only forgot to give me syrup, which I let slide because they probably expected that I would have some at home, but they also forgot my beans (which I specifically said I wanted when they asked) AND the tomatoes, which I had paid extra for. The food tasted fine, but overall I would not recommend.
