First timers. My husband and my first time eating here. We decided to try Bombay Garden after seeing the stellar restaurant inspection reports from the City’s website compared to other Indian restaurants in Ottawa. Very friendly service. Had beef curry with the perfect amount of spice and butter chicken which was also great. We’ll be going back.
Not very good value. My wife and I ate there at lunch and ordered the lunch speacial. The portions were smaller than most microwave dishes and was of lesser quality. Each piece of Naan bread cost an extra $2 per person. There are better indian dishes served in cafeterias around town for less than half the cost. Overall, there is way better out there than offered here.
Change of ownership?. They used to serve some of the best Indian food in Ottawa. However, yesterday’s takeout, including two vegetarian and two meat mains, were at best, ordinary.
Great food every time. Wonderful friendly staff who know their food and always able to give amazing advice on what to get. Love Bombay Garden and is our family’s go to when dont want to cook at home
Take Out. It was good, but I prefer other Indian restaurants in OttawaWe ordered from here since it was the only Indian food in the area. We found it expensive for the quality/quantity you get, but we were overall satisfied.I prefer East India Company or Namaste over Bombay Garden, however this is the only Indian restaurant we could find in South Keys. It was able to fix our Indian food craving
Om nom nom. I’ve been to Bombay Garden a few times now and the food has always been delicious. The service is nice although I find them a little shy from my experiences. I would suggest the butter chicken if you’re new to Indian cuisine or just a fan of it, they make one of the best in Ottawa that I’ve found so far.
Returning Customer. I first went to Bombay Garden several years ago for a family gathering. Upon entering we were met with warm smiles and easily accommodated despite the restaurant being small and busy, and our group being quite large. We ordered enough food for a small army and every dish was made to order. They asked us if we wanted things spicy and how spicy we wanted them, and the food was divine. The meat was perfectly cooked, and lamb dishes can sometimes be difficult, the flavors were to die for (and we should have been hard to please as we had all just returned from a thailand/mumbai trip).I have been a returning customer ever since. Though eating out is a luxury these days every time I choose the restaurant, this is the place I choose.
