I’m a regular customer here, and I’ll admit this is petty. But for about the last year they have been advertising that they have Dr. Pepper, and every time I order it, it’s not Dr. Pepper, it’s definitely Mug Root Beer. I don’t know what is going on with those soda fountains but every time I order a Dr. Pepper and realize it’s root beer, it’s one huge bummer. And I hate being a pain in the rear for the waiter, but every time I ask them to switch it to a Pepsi, because I don’t like most root beer, especially Mug, which is the worst mass-produced root beer on the market. Please fix this South Keys Montana’s. I want to keep wanting to come here.
Our group of 6 visited Montana’s on a Wednesday evening and were quite disappointed with the service and food. We received our table right away and the restaurant did not seem overwhelmingly busy, but it took the waitress ages to pass out water, then come back to take our orders. We let it slide – perhaps the restaurant was short-staffed that night. However, the service only worsened from there. One of us ordered the All-You-Can-Eat Pork Ribs, and he had to wait 25 minutes between finishing his plate and receiving the next because the waitress only came by 10 minutes after he had finished his plate (despite numerous attempts to flag a server down), and then had to put the order in for the next refill. The waitress wasn’t particularly kind about it either and came off as rather snobby. It only twisted the knife even more to see that all the waiters seemed to be speaking to each other in the computer/kitchen entrance area.
Bug in salad. My daughter had a chicken cesear salad and about 1/2 way through it found a bug in it. We told the waitress who took the salad away and said she would bring her a new one. My daughter said she didn’t want it. The manager came over and said he had no idea where the bug came from. This bug did not fly so……. they did take the Salad off the bill but it turned all of our dinners. The manager could see how upset I was then ignored me and instead spoke to my teenage daughter instead. He gave her a 25 dollar gift card for a future visit.Bugs in food we will not be returning
