Have enjoyed food from Himalya on a couple of occasions. Recently ordered take out food for lunch gathering. Everyone pleased. I enjoyed the vegetarian thali. Well priced and hearty vegetarian dish.
I didn’t like the restaurant at all.. First of all, the service was SLOOOOW. I waited 30 mins for a simple dish. Then the meal was expensive..$8 for 4 vegie balls with sauce. and $3.5 for fried rice. Most importantly the service was bad. The taste is ok like other Indian restaurant.Honestly I don’t know why the restaurant is getting such a high rating.
Good food no doubt but owners are so rude. Okay so I have been to that place so many times and food is good but the owners are so rude. Especially the young lady who is the daughter ( a frnd told me)…..no sense of customer service. And no cleanliness at all. I am not even exaggerating but even saw mice once underneath the sweets counter…and so many roaches…..never been there after seeing tht….though I was a regular for thali and samosas but how they charge extra for chutneys that are only half filled…..besides none of the staff is nice there used to be a girl there 2-3 years back but she is also not there anymore. No wonder no one wants to be at a place where staff(other than family is treated like slaves) and no respect for customers at all…. Only good thing is food but somone plz tell them service is also important… Especially to the owner lady and her daughters.
Good food, rude staff. I like the food but one of the staff (maybe the owner) , a young guy, is very rude. How difficult is it to be nice to your customers?

Delicious. This place is wonderful. I recently moved back to Hamilton and it continues to be my top choice for Indian food. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious and well priced. The location is small, and no frills which allows for the amazing prices. Most people order take out so the location is really a non issue.
Great vegetarian eatery. This place is a family run business. The service is great. The vegetarian Thali is amazing with good sized portions. The Jelebi is to die for, especially when it is piping hot and freshly made. The place is so clean!
