This place is practically our local. Good beer selection along with gluten free beer. Food has slipped since opening in my opinion and its not cheap. But its always at least good and sometimes excellent. Well worth stopping by.
Pros: – incredible beer selection, with many local options-Gastropub-esque menu with fresh ingredients-very knowledgeable staffCons-the food and beer is all a bit overpriced-menu is a bit too smallWhen I choose a place like Beertown, it’s because I want to drink interesting beers; food is an afterthought. And beertown definitely delivers on the beer front. They have a constantly rotating selection on tap and more local beers than anywhere else I’ve personally been.The food may be an afterthought for me, but I still usually end up ordering something after a few drinks. Everything I’ve had has been very average. Not bad, but nothing that somewhere else can’t do better.My real issue is the price. They’re definitely a good 10-20% more expensive than comparable restaurants. But it’s nice when I get sick of the typical beers that most restaurants carry.
