Dropped in here for lunch. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant looked clean but the the deteriorating state of the seating upholstery was distracting. This was an AYCE restaurant so as usual the food was OK but nothing exceptional. It wasn’t a bad experience but with all the competition in this market in London I will likely try another place next time.
Servers were nice, restaurant looked clean. Went to Hanata to try a new sushi restaurant. And was disappointed. The rolls were made very poorly and we didn’t receive some of the food we ordered and received other items that we didn’t order. Wont be going back.
Our party visited this restaurant because it’s menu offered specialty rolls that other sushi places in the city stopped preparing. You have to order it ala carte but that wasn’t a problem for us. Apparently it was a problem for the restaurant. When we arrived at 7pm, the hostess refused to seat us because we wanted to order ala carte sushi. She explained that the kitchen was closed and the only way we could eat there was if we ordered the buffet – which excludes all of the items we specifically came here for. I could understand we were near closing, but the restaurant doesn’t close until 10pm. Will never attempt to eat here again.
Good Meal, Decent Service. I found this restaurant to be great. I went during the lunch special, because I’m cheap and I don’t mind missing a few items from the supper menu. The meal was around $15 and for the portion I ate it was completely worth it. The sushi, udon soup, rolls, maki and sashimi I ate was excellent. The service was reasonable, they took our order in a timely manner considering how busy it was. There is an hour and a half limit, reasonable, I ate in that time and was stuffed. Will definitely go again.
Horrible service. We were seated with no menus or paper to write our orders. We had to ask for them while other people were seated with the menu and paper, they didn’t even notice for 20 minutes. Horrible experience. The food was okay but they kept getting the portions wrong. I would never go back.
Great food, slow service.. I’m incline to agree with most reviews on here about the service. The food is good but you’ll be waiting even on not so busy days..
Very happy with my experience :). Went today with my son. He is a Fanshawe student and a sushi lover. Had read some reviews on here and was a little skeptical, but I trust his judgement so off we went. I don’t know what others are expecting or how they approached the staff, but i can tell you I had a great time. The food was great, we were greeted right away and were told how to navigate the menu. Lunch items are different than supper( that is standard in all Sushi restaurants). The staff were attentive. All the staff took turns taking orders and removing plates. As the restaurant was full the two hours we were there.. constant comings and goings.. I think that speaks more than alot of the remarks I have read on here. So the option is yours but i would recommend Hanata to anyone and will return again. Enjoy 🙂
