I love greek salads. My grandmother lived very close to where Icarus is located at 519 Richmond Street on Central Avenue across from Victoria Park. So this part of London, Ontario, has been, since the mid-1930’s, ‘MY-London-neighborhood’. Neat name, Icarus Restro Bar. Icarus (in Greek Mythology) was the Son of Daedalus who dared to fly too near the sun on wings of feathers and wax. Getting too near the sun flying with his wings caused the wax to melt and poor Icarus fell to his death. So off we went to Icarus Resto Bar for a Greek Salad. Fun visit. We intentionally go during non-rush hours. We do not care one-iota, we do not care one-whit, at how long we have to wait because we enjoy each others company and the ambiance of new-to-us restaurants. A Greek Salad is cold so we had no issues with cold food. We found our server to be polite and professional. We enjoyed our Greek Salad. What’s not-to-like really. And? We will return at some unknown-to-us future date.
Visited this place at the London annual Wine and Food Show in the Metroland Center and were able to purchase two delicious lunch servings. I had the spinach and phylo pastry and partner had the lamb meatballs. Will be revisiting restaurant soon as londilicious festival has just started and there are 30! other places to select from. Great time to be a foodie!
Relatively new restaurant in London. Food is good and service is great. Nice setting simple and very clean. One thing is that they made the alley way next to the restaurant greasyand smelly for some reason. However the restaurant itself is definitely worth trying.
Great service, decent meal
