Last week I had dinner in British Columbia and it was excellent, tonight we went tNando at Masonville and I was so very disappointed, the chicken was over cooked and dry, my grilled vegetables were cold as were the French goes, the only good thing was the tart, also we had to order at the counter and had to go back a few times to ask for things, over all not a good experience and we will not bereturning
This is a Portuguese style restaurant with the emphasis on chicken and various heat levels of the popular Peri Peri sauce. It is a new entry into the London market and located in the wonderfully renovated Masonville. It was started by a man from South Africa named Fernando and so the name.Peri Peri is a hot sauce and it exists in varying levels of heat with the hottest reserved for the brave.I had the 1/4 chicken dark meat with medium hot sauce with a side of peas and one of PerivPeri fries. The fries were tasty but just warm and would probably not order them again. My partner had the white meat 1/4 chicken with Peri Peri vegetables and coleslaw as her sides. Both came in small portions but she said all were delicious. You order at the counter when you arrive and you meal is brought to your designated table when ready. Despite the busy time we only waited about 10 minutes for all of our meal. Everyone is pretty efficient and interior clean and organized. Would return but not order the fries.
