For a place that supposedly specializes in seafood, you would think they would know how to cook fish. Unfortunately, this is apparently not the case, or wasn’t the day we went. In a party of six, every halibut and haddock was over cooked, creating dry fish and rock hard shell of batter.
Incredibly Small Portions. Went to Annie’s in Stratford yesterday. I was hungry, which turned out to be bad luck for me. I ordered the halibut dinner and was stunned when a small plate arrived at my table with a halibut piece that was honestly just slightly larger than a credit card. No joke- I have NEVER seen smaller portions at any restaurant anywhere. I paid 13 bucks for what amounted to a miniscule appetizer and left almost as hungry as I arrived. The food is fine and the service was decent, but these portions are seriously undersized. What a rip-off. We won’t be back.
I visited Annie’s a short time ago and ordered their Seafood Platter. Everything looked amazing when it arrived. It didn’t taste as good as it looked though. The fish was okay at best. The shrimp was very chewy. Everything else I was happy with. Will I go back? Not sure.
