Solid three star. I didn’t eat, but friends did. Food seemed okay. My beer tasted off, I asked if it was the first pour of the night as it was quite early. She said that there was a regular who has been drinking it all night.. Server was nice enough but I’m thinking they need a good clean of their taps. I’m willing to give this place another chance as I’ve heard good things. Will be sure to update after another visit.
2016/11/19We were on our annual Stratford getaway weekend. We haven’t had a meal at Bentley’s for years, so we decided to go there for Saturday lunch. It wasn’t very busy, so the four of us took one of the cozy booths. Bentley’s has a moderately large pub menu that is presented in a spiral bound book, with several pages, so it does take a few minutes to go through the entire selection. After a while we made our decisions. SWMBO opted for the Chicken Fettuccine (grilled chicken, mushrooms, green onions, cherry tomatoes, alfredo sauce). Tender chunks of chicken and mushrooms, in a cheesy sauce, made it a filling meal. I chose the Rustic Mezze Platter (red pepper hummus, tabbouleh, tzatziki, falafel, kalamata olives, pickled peppers, onions, pita). The pita was a little bit dry, but otherwise is was a nice variety of Mediterranean flavours.
