We were here for lunch a couple of days ago, just before we headed to our play; and we had a good lunch outing. The restaurant is very close to the Avon theatre and the service is relatively quick, so there is not danger of missing the show. For drinks – we had a Canadian Club whiskey. We checked for unsweetened ice tea, which would have been other drink, if they had’d it.For mains – we had a Chicken Pot Pie and a Club Sandwich. We asked for a Caesar Salad as a side for the pie and fried for the club. The club sandwich and the fried were really good. The Caesar salad was excellent; but we didn’t like the pie so much. For Dessert – we had a Oh so good chocolate cake, which is definitely shareable. The cake was yummy. The cost of the lunch came around to $45; approximately.

After trying to get reservations at 3 other places I picked this pub. I am so happy this place had room for us before our show.Atmosphere- Clean and cozy pub. The waitress rhymed off no less than 50 types of beers. Wow! I am impressed with the selection and her memory.Food- 1) First to note- 2 of my friends had the 5 x award winning loaded potato soup with bacon cheeses and onions. Both laid on the praises o this dish saying the title for this soup would be hard to top anywhere. With that recommendation i know i will try it next time. 2) sweet potato fries – The best I have had in a long time. They were crispy and there were a lot of them served with a spicy thai sauce that was perfect for dipping 3) onion rings- good but sweet potato fries would be a better choice. 4) Irish egg rolls- they were made with brisket but they lacked real flavour. Luckily they came with a maple dipping sauce that saved the dish. this sauce was awesome. I would buy this sauce if the bottled it to dip anything at home. 5) Meatloaf- a large piece and it was just like Mom made it. 6) grilled vegetable sandwich- Highly recommended and the marble rye is very tasty. 6) bruscetta- My friend said she liked it but I know I have had more topping before 7) Taco salad in a tortilla bowl- Very nice bowl that was warm and the grilled chicken was done perfectly. 8) Chicken quassedia- They were loaded with filling and when 1/2 was boxed the salsa and sour cream was added to the box. No one had room for dessert.Service- A+ for memory of beers. Very quick and efficient. Bills were a little mixed up but rectified quickly.Impression- I would go back easily but I will have that award winning loaded potato soup.

Molly Bloom’s was our choice for lunch today. We were promptly seated and served well from beginning to the end of the meal.SWMBO and I were there with another couple.SWMBO ordered the Fish & Chips. The fish was a decent size, nicely battered and well cooked. I chose the Maple Whiskey Reuben. The maple whiskey flavour was part of the dijon mustard. The taste was subtle, but noticable and pleasant. Both of us liked the fries and cole slaw.

We went to Molly Bloom’s in Stratford this weekend (mid February, off season). Karaoke night was packed – some very talented singers! However, my boyfriend and I could not stop raving about the absolutely AMAZING bartender! Wish I could remember her name right now – she had blonde hair and a nose ring. A very pleasant and clearly hard working person. We never waited for a drink and she made the experience unforgettable. Great staff, great place and lots of fun. Recommend!!!!

Longtime Patrons disappointed. We live in Stratford and have enjoyed Molly’s quite often over the years, actually being a regular eatery. The past 1 year has been a different story…the food and the service has progressively gone downhill. Today we decided to try it again, it will be the last time we go. We decided to order the piled high (lol) nachos with steak added for an extra $4. What a joke! The serving for two doesn’t even come close to the regular serving at other local eateries. The chips were difficult to chew being close to stale, and the toppings were very sparse. For $20 value it was very disappointing. Tip to the owner/chef…go and order the nachos at The Boars Head or Bentleys, you will be AMAZED!! Unfortunate as we used to enjoy Molly’s as a regular spot.

Many great menu choices. Solid selection of beer & wine. Good service. It’s the place to be and be seen. Top of the pub’s in Stratford!
