Our local. Good food, good beer, good service, good price. Four reasons we keep coming back. The sidewalk tables in the summertime are the icing on the cake.
Long wait not worth it. It wasn’t overly busy when we got there, but service was slow. Very slow. Took a long time to get menus and an even longer time to get our food – almost an hour from when we walked in. And the food wasn’t worth it. My daily special soup and quiche wasn’t hot when I got it – possibly from sitting a long time before it was brought to the table. And it wasn’t particularly special, either.
Came here for drinks on the patio which was nice, casual and quiet. Had the chocolate brownie for dessert indoors on another occasion and it was SO GOOD! Good little place to hang out 🙂
Wednesday Wing Night. I went to The Boar’s Head Wednesday night which happens to be Wing Night. I order 15 Teriyaki BBQ wings and waited about 10-15 minutes for them to arrive. I should let you know the place was packed. As you can tell from the pic the wings looked amazing. They tasted as good as they looked. I’ll be back again and will check out more varieties.
Great service!. This place has great pub food for dinner OR for drinks later on. Servers always checking up making sure you have everything you want. Also fun board games to play and great live music on the weekends.
Very casual … the food is better than the decor lol .. veggies could be fresher and sometimes the staff can be a little rude other times the staff is excellent so that’s hit or miss .. if your wanting a few beer and wings this is a good spot to go on a Wednesday
Great wings, generous portions. After an afernoon of watching a play, I went to the Boar’s Head Pub and ordered two dozen wings. It was wing night and the place (because of the Stratford Festival) was really busy. The beer and the appetizer salad came really quickly. Then came the Pterodactyl-sized wings, which almost made my eyes bug out of my head. I ordered two dozen of them thinking that that they would be like the little ones we get in pubs in Saskatchewan. I was totally amazed at their meatiness and flavour. Needless to say, I could only eat (and at extraordinary effort) 18 of these succulent treats. If only Saskatoon had such a pub! It was the end of a great afternoon.
