  I will not go there again. Foods were too small and expensive. They are too slow and not kind. The best part was their outdoor sitting area.

  Don’t listen to any negative review this restaurant has. Everything about cantina Mexicana is GREAT!!!! Highly recommend the guacamole, best I’ve ever had! The atmosphere is beautiful, you feel like you actually are in Mexico. The elder lady who owns the restaurant is so sweet and you feel like you’re sitting in grandmas kitchen. 10/10 every visit. The best Mexican food in the city!

  Racist owner. She seems to serve good food only to the chosen people. served very cold food and pretty sure its a day or two old stale food. what a cheapo

  Absolutely awful. Such a shame because we had been there twice previously (once 10+ years ago, and once within the last year or two) and had good experiences both of those times. This time we went for lunch with our two kids ages 9 & 5. My oldest had tacos with ground beef, was told there was ‘a little’ carrots and potatoes in the ground beef and they couldn’t be removed (which should have told us that nothing was being made fresh). It was at least half carrots and potatoes, looked like vomit, and my son didn’t like it. We asked for more cheese (he’d barely been given enough for one taco) so he could make cheese/lettuce/tomato tacos and the elder owner was very rude about it. I asked if we could have a kids portion of nachos for my youngest, and the owner reluctantly said yes and asked ‘just cheese’ and I repeated ‘yes, just cheese’. The cook brought it out with lettuce, salsa, sour cream piled on top and was angry when I sent it back. It came back with those toppings scraped off and a few shreds of cheese melted on it. He ate probably about 6 chips, and we were charged $8 for it (plus 50 cents for upgrade to chocolate milk – absurd). Adult food was edible but not good by any means and scant portions at that. Decor is sad and run down, and I tried not to look too closely or go into the washrooms for fear that it would be so dirty I’d be tempted to call the health dept. Will never be returning but given all the similar reviews all over, I’d be surprised if they are in business for much longer.

  Disappointment!. We ordered a $37 platter for two people. I could have easily eaten the whole thing myself. I ordered a side of guacolmole for $6, and it was no more than I get for 99 cents at mucho burito. I couldn’t believe the bill for what we ate. The portions we’re way too small. The food itself was authentic and good, but i’ve been to Pupuseria Latinos in kitchener which is most authentic mexican I ever had, and absolutely delicious. We came out of Pupuseria’s at $22 and got A LOT of food. i will never be going back to Cantina Mexicana again.

  Save your money & dont eat here!! the food quality is super bad, the food portion is beyond small yet the cheapest entree is over ten dollars. tim hortons serve bigger wrapd then here. if your. i came here because my girlfriend gave rave reviews from a previous visit three or four years ago & she was also disappointed (not the same quality food as she remembered)
