Not only have I had occasion to eat lunch & dinner, a number of times, at this neighbourhood pub but I have held several business luncheons and family gatherings in their upstairs private party room. Without fail the service has been beyond reproach and the food outstanding. They have a small but intriguing wine list, beer on tap and a seasonally changing menu along with traditional pub fare. Luncheon & dinner specials always feature fabulous homemade soups – salads are different & inventive and their burgers are the best! For summer people watching there is an outside patio but not my favourite – Queen Street is too busy for my liking! One thing this restaurant could benefit from is a mini makeover – looks a little worn & drab. All in all a lovely neighbourhood pub that is worth the visit.

Not a fan. I’m not really much of a review writer.. But I think its important to get my view across. I went to Franklin house for wing night and was extremely disappointed. All the wings still had feathers on them! I tried to pick off a few, but at that point, my appetite was already gone. We told the server about the situation and she says that they tried their best picking them off….. If that is the case, why would you serve those wings if you knew there was going to be a problem? Needless to say, I won’t be comming back.. It’s going to take time until I can eat wings again!
Customer service? I don’t think so. I recently book a ghost experience and was disgusted to learn my ticket was invalid due to poor communication with websites. Not to mention the hostess was very rude and unpleasant while explaining the mishap I shant return !
I love this place! Stumbled upon it in the summer during the day, we had a great waitress, really fun and professional. Right personality for the placd, she made us feel really welcome. We had wings and a chicken wrap. Wings were amazing and they accommodated my request to change up the sauce. It also peaked our interest to learn it was haunted. We will be back for sure!
