Good food at reasonable price..we have been going to the streetsville location for around 2 yrs now n have always loved their food. Don’t be shy to ask for what you want from the window in terms of salad or sauces n try and be around while your shawarma/sandwich is being made..that mostly ensures a better service n decent portions!!! But overall very good food

Can you say crooks?. I ordered food to go, purchasing a combination of shawarma and falafel sandwiches, which all came with lettuce and tomato only and lacking all the staple ingredients to what makes real middle eastern cuisine taste great. When asking the server why he didn’t ask us what we wanted in our sandwiches, he replied that we’d need to pay more.. We used to frequent this place prior to it becoming a disaster. The food doesn’t even taste good any more. The sandwiches were packed mainly with lettuce and tomato, skimping out on the chicken, which by the way, was hard and inedible. Our order came to $45, which I find to be ridiculous. We will never step foot in any of these franchises again. You want good shawarma and falafel sandwiches, go to Pita & Grill (the one up on Eglinton is by far THE BEST) and costs under $6. Pita Nutso is a RIPOFF.

Granted, pita nutso, formally nutsy- which im sure everybody can agree was a catchier brand, has had its fair share of rollercoaster like ups and downs in terms of quality. However, saying this, Ive been visiting the streetsville location for 3.5 years, and all though several changes have taken hold, i will say this- pita nutso does make a mean schwarma. I can agree that at one point they seemed to drop the ball in terms of a tasty pita, but my patience was rewarded. The staff is Chill, and i can assure you represent the m. East to the fullest when it comes to schwarma swagger. When i go to grab a bite, i have them hammer it with taboule, hummas and pickled turnip alongside the shaved bird. Garlic sauce and hot sauce no question. As a chef i can assure you that when they wrap it up like that, its a good thing everytime, seriously- ive had my share of schawarma- thease guys know whats up. Just dont be shy to ask them for all the good stuff in the window, i highly doubt, if you take this advice, you will be dissapointed.

The good old days…. I used to work at the franchise in Oakville. It was my home for a summer and made my life just that much better. I didn’t care that I got paid pittence, or that the Iraqi guy who cooked every day yelled at me all the time; the shawarma easily made up for all of it. I ate one every day and loved every bite. Then the name changed to Nutso. Now, as another reviewer has said, the place has lost its soul. The quantity of chicken in the pita is astonishingly low compared to what it was, and most of the people working there couldn’t find the middle east on a map.If you want my opinion, skip it for somewhere more authentic. A shawarma is a shawarma no matter where you go, but the ones you will remember, and most enjoy, are made by those that are pasisonate about what they make. While Pita Nutsy had passion, Pita Nutso is a sorry excuse for it’s former self.
