My colleagues and i went for lunch. After we ordered and were served appetizers, we’ve been told that we would be charged 10 dollars per person that did not show up. They said that they explained when we made the reservation but the truth was that they only said they would charge 10 dollars if the group does not show up, not per person. In addition food selection is limited and the dishes were very heavy. Even though they have a menu with supposedly healthy dishes, they use lots of butter and flour. Not a good experience.

Beautiful quaint place offering a wide range of teas, delicious pastries, light lunch options and my favorite dessert. The menu is simple and the setup is elegant in a relaxing atmosphere. With that being said , my friends and I really enjoyed most of the spread of the Robison bray tea 3 tiered tray that included delicious of cupcakes , finger sandwiches and scones . Unfortunately the sandwiches tasted old and stale and overall a bit over priced for the quality of food but still a good place for that afternoon tea.

I went here with my dining group.Atmosphere- The Robinson Bray House is the perfect place for a tea room. The tables were so inviting. The gift shop at the front offers a variety of tea paraphernalia that many of my tea mates found irresistible. I also like when tea rooms have the tea available for sale because once you like something you like to enjoy the same lovely flavour at home.Food- They have a wide variety of teas to start off with. I like that there is a separate menu telling you what exactly is in the tea. My group ordered Blueberry, Peppermint, Earl Grey, Buckingham Palace, Chai, and I tried Lady Grey. Everyone loved the flavours as well as all the fragrances coming from the freshly mixed teas. We then started with a salad with a honey poppyseed dressing. It was fresh, light and lovely. Next came special trays that had wonderful scones ( choice of blueberry or plain) that were warm and fresh served with clotted cream and jam) They even told us to put jam on warm scones first ( which I have known but it was good for others to learn) Mine were wonderful full of large delicious blueberries. the second tier had sandwiches ( small 1/4s)- 1 each- chicken and cranberry chutney, and egg salad, 2 each- cucumber and cream cheese. The bread on some of these were stale which was surprising because the scones were so fresh. The chicken salad and egg salad was really tasty. The third tier had 3 desserts per person- A tiny maple butter tart – Excellent, a blueberry square- good, and a sugar cookie shaped as a teapot- nice. I think there should have been a few more sandwich quarters and a few more or larger desserts.Service- Lovely. Our server was just so nice.Impression- I will be back again and I will order extra scones the day before I go to take home after my tea. Loved the scones.

The interior was nice and cozy but the service was absolutely horrendous. The tea was drinkable but the desserts tasted old and stale. The server was extremely rude and clearly did not enjoy their job.

My wife and I have been here twice together and both times we were not disappointed. Though it can be quite busy and a reservation is recommended, we happened to find a table for two at lunch. The chicken in a phylo pastry was nice, but it’s the tea and scones that will keep you coming back. We had the Buckingham palace tea and it was rich and flavourful. A very nice black tea. The blueberry scones are a must have. Warm, fresh and amazingly delicious. With some clotted cream and strawberry or apricot perseveres, these scones were fantastic! So very delicious. The tea room is quaint and beautiful. Wonderful place to relax and have some tea. Highly recommend.

Afternoon tea for 2 – this place … To sum it up is very cozy and cute. The interior decor is very old, and place is very small. At the front there is a little gift shop available. Staff are friendly. In my opinion.. Lil old lady gathering place? (Don’t get upset with the comment). The majority of the appealed customers are age 40+. I wouldn’t recommend this place personally, but if you’re looking for a quiet place to sit down for a semi formal afternoon tea, this is the place for you. The food is really mediocre, the tea is delightful.

Absolutely Delightful!. As a party of six, we had come here for a lunch tea package, which included tea, salad, sandwiches, quiches, scones, and dessert. Upon arriving, we were astonished to see the beautiful walkway outside of the tea room. It contained stones which were beautifully laid from the front to the back of the tea room. There was also a patio which could be seen from the parking lot which looked very relaxing. When we first walked in, we were guided to a small room where our table was situated. We were provided with tea menus, which contained many flavours of tea to choose from. I was quite pleased to see that there were an abundance of caffeine-free tea available. We each settled on our pot of tea. I decided on the apple cinnamon as it was caffeine-free and it was one of my favourite flavours listed. We also ordered our scone flavours; I chose pecan while the others settled on blueberry. As soon as we finished ordering our tea, our salads arrived. The salad contained mixed greens, with tangerines and blueberries. The dressing was absolutely delicious, it was very fresh and not too strong. After we had finished our salads, our tea pots arrived. The tea pots were very beautifully decorated, and quite large! Also, the tea strainers were very cute with beautiful designs on them, they were picturesque indeed. The tea was incredible with a small amount of sugar added to it. It had just the perfect amount of flavour, it was heaven! After our tea had arrived, our scones, sandwiches, and desserts came out. They were presented on a two-tier dish which was decorated with flowers at the top. Since there were six of us in the party, we shared a two-tier dish with another person. The sandwiches were cream cheese with cucumber, chicken salad, and egg salad. The sandwiches were small however, they were filling, with each of them tasting very fresh. There were also two small quiches which were on each plate; they were quite small however, truly delicious, tasting similar to a real quiche. The scones and desserts were one of the best that I had ever tasted! The pecan scone came with a side of butter and jam. It was very large, with a lot of pecans inside of the scone. Also, it was hot (temperature wise), which made it taste even better! There were three kinds of desserts; short-bread cookies shaped like kettles with sprinkles on them, a maple tart with frosting, and a coconut chocolate bar. Each of the desserts were fresh and tasty, with just the perfect amount of sugar inside, not too much, and not too little. We were very impressed with all of the food items that were brought to us. It was great to have so many options to choose from on just one plate! We also asked for refills on our tea, which was brought to us willingly and quickly after asking. After we had finished our meal and tea, we asked for the bill. In total, it was $130 for the six of us, which was about $21.60 each. The price wasn’t too bad considering that we were given unlimited tea, along with an assortment of various desserts, sandwiches, and salad. Once we had paid, we decided to shop in the boutiques located inside of the tea room. The prices for some of the items were a bit high however, I settled on a magnet and a teaspoon with a kettle on the end of it. All of the items in the boutiques fit the theme beautifully! One other thing I forgot to mention is that if desired, it was possible to borrow a hat or hairpin from the shop for the duration of the tea. I hadn’t known this therefore, I had purchased my own hairpin however, I know for next time!Overall, we were all pleasantly surprised at how beautifully decorated this tea room was, along with the delicious food that was served. The service was also great as our waitress came over often to ask how we were doing and if we needed anything else. Also, there were wonderful spots to take pictures at in front of the tea room which was great as it was a beautiful day outside. We loved our experience, and will surely be back again!
