Queen’s Pasta is the unofficial gay restaurant in Bloor West Village. The classic martini is made just right.The vegetarian choices do need to improve. I am limited to a couple of favourite main course options, either the Baked Rigatoni or Penne Arrabietta. I love soups but all the soups here are made with chicken broth. Eesh no good.The ambience is cozy, casual and quaint. Only a gay men could decorate the restaurant this way. It makes me feel like I’m dining in an upscale Black Eagle.The servers are friendly, efficient and attentive. The prices are competitive and the portions are adequate. I never feel hungry walking away from Queen’s Pasta.The music playlist is eclectic and unobtrusive. The clientele is hip and liberal.The wine list needs improvement. I especially enjoy the Kingston Estates Shiraz.It is so cool to have this restaurant nestled in a conservative, family oriented neighbourhood. It is an alternative to Molly’s Bush.

My wife often gets it.I really dig the specials! I once had a rib special that was just fantastic! Spaghetti and a lovely, light tomato sauce and the amazing rib meat! Great combo! Do try a special!A well stocked wine list too!
I really enjoy the black and white pasta here. It’s a great place to just stop in quickly for good food. It seems like it would be a nice dinner place but I’ve only stopped in for a weekend lunch. The bathroom area could be more pleasant though. It’s in the basement and has a distinct bathroom smell which can be unappetizing. elaineloves.com
