The food itself is average, but the service is the reason I will never go back to Fratelli’s. We were treated so poorly during our last experience with them that it has changed my whole perspective of this place, and I had been a good and frequent customer in the past. Even dealing with management was awful. You can tell a lot about a place by how they treat their customers. In my opinion, the way we were treated was basically them telling us not to come back. We won’t.
Chincy. This place has great tasting pasta, problem is the portion sizes are so pathetic you’ll be tempted to hit the McDonald’s drive through on the way out of the plaza… and I do not by any means eat large portions. Sad considering what the cost is on a plate of pasta. The service was also bad, the server couldn’t have cared less and paid little attention to our table. I guess the next time I want Italian I’ll head down to Erie street.
I have eaten here several times. Some of the best food I’ve ever had. The pasta is amazing. Very flavorful. The lamb shank is very tender and cooked to perfection. The restaurant is small and quaint. Very intimate. The owner is very personable and friendly. Probably my favorite restaurant in Essex county.
