Great dinner, large platter with chicken and greek salad and fries. Easy mainstay in the area. Always consistent. Wife had their fish and chips, her fav. at this place, and she was very satisfied.

Just returned from this quaint family dinner located in a small town just a few minutes north of the city. Went there with my partner on Saturday morning for their breakfast specials. This is truly a diner and long owned by the same family. There is enough seating for about 50 and the interior is simple yet bright.See a few negative reviews that suggest this place is overpriced and not sure what they expect. Hungry man meal has bacon, sausages, ham, home fries and 3 eggs for $6.45. Not sure where you could get it any cheaper. Partner had the basic meal including toast, 4 slices of bacon, 2 eggs, & home fries for $4.65 and I had the same except with 2 large pieces of back bacon instead of the regular bacon and mine was just over $6.00.Coffee was extra but was tasty and fresh. It’s a small but busy diner served by only one waitress who seemed to be on top of everything so we had excellent service. Some, who are not from the town might think our waitress spent too much time in socializing with the patrons but it should be noted that the locals do form most of their business and we did not feel ignored. A good meal and will definitely go back. Rating would probably be higher if we had lunch or dinner here.

Favorite go to place for a quick meal. No frills lunch meeting place for big portions and reasonable prices. Wife and I like grabbing breakfast there on weekends when we head out of town. They are open for diner, just haven’t been out there to try it out. Highly recommend you give it a try, you’ll be surprised at how good you can eat in a small town.

Grew up going to this place and have many great family memories. Breakfast on weekends and family dinners. Shocked to find out the same owners still run the place – must be for over 25 years. Super friendly, homemade from scratch diner classics. Best homemade burgers and milkshakes in the world. Club sandwich is huge, they still don’t use any deli meat. Have been back 3 times in last month, great value and portion sizes. Feels good to support small town local doing food right instead of the same old packaged franchise food.

Roast Turkey Dinner with Soup, Salad and Dessert. TASTY, Very Juicy, Fresh & Homemade. A lot of food for what you pay!!!!08 May, 2015Family Dinning…..FRESH and TASTY…..Truly SATISFIED!!!!. Family Dinning….the last few survivors. In an age of Corporate Dining (East Side Mario’s, Kelsey’s, Montana’s, Boston Pizza, etc.) of pre-made and pre-packaged, sub-par frozen foods ready to be warmed and served to your table in an hour has become the ‘blinded-norm’ of today’s society standards. Therefore, it’s nice to have a change (…or what I like to call a ‘detox of senses’) and go back to grass roots of homemade, family style dinning of FRESH and TASTY Food just as this Restaurant was able to provide. You know the quality of a restaurant when it has been serving the same community and families for generations by the same owner and family….upon my visit there was an entire family (3 generations) enjoying their food and company that have been visiting this restaurant for many years and another table of OPP (Police Officers) enjoying their break from work in addition to other satisfied patrons. This Restaurant truly made you feel as if you were back in ‘mom’s kitchen’ eating with old and new friends. The prices on the menu and the food quality is better then most restaurants….Especially corporate restaurants. Regarding to the ‘muddy boots’ post….please use common sense as this is a family style restaurant with young and old families….and the last few surviving family dinner that we can still enjoy food away from home!!! I will be back to visit…..with my family.

Get out your wallet. $11 for bacon and eggs, $16 for a hot beef? I can eat at a Kelsey’s or Boston Pizza for less!Food is alright but not worth the insane prices they are charging. Don’t waste your time.

Childhood!. Love going to this restaurant, grew up in and around Thorndale and I really hope to take my kids to this restaurant some day. Amazing breakfast, nice atmosphere and love that it is a small town diner.
