Fantastic atmosphere, great people, and excellent coffee. Great lattes and espressos, and sandwiches, good spot for lunch. Perfect place to stop when shopping on bank.
Great pastries and great tea! I love the lemon squares. The cafe has such a wonderful small cafe vibe that I love. I had one of my first dates with my fianc here and can personally say it’s really charming date spot
Freshest yummiest sandwiches!. I love having lunch here. Used to live around the corner and really miss having this place as one of my reg spots.
Morala Specialty Coffee is a good neighbourhood coffee shop to drop by for a coffee and baked good when you are in the area. The interior is cozy and homey. The staff is friendly and efficient. This is the first time I tried Happy Goat Coffee and ended up picking up a bag or 2 to go with me.Cappuccino was a little weak but it is nice to support local business.
Try the Rollos (savory rolls full or deliciousness). If you’re in the Glebe, you have to stop and take a break in this independently owned coffee shop, for a small treat or lunch. I have tried most items on their menu and everything is good. It’s all homemade, fresh, and hasn’t been sitting in the refrigerator for days. The Empanadas are delicious, as are the Rollos. I always order a cortado, similar to a short americano but with milk, and it’s as good as any cafeteria in Spain. The place is full of regulars, which attests to the great food and coffee. Their cookie packs are perfect to take home. The staff is very friendly and the owner is obviously someone that cares about her customers.
Very cute place. This place is a great cozy, low key shop if you’re looking for something besides Bridgehead. I personally love their coffee (not sure what all the fuss is about) but their food is a little dry. Definitely somewhere I would sit and chat.
Owner berates customer for being fair. I’ve always been ambivalent about this place given the inanity of its prices. However, my last trip there, will certainly.be the last. As a young Asian woman stood waiting for a table, the owner chased after an older, white, moneyed-looking couple who came in after her to bring them in and give them the table she was waiting for. Confusion abounded and they left. When she realised what happened, the owner proceeded to give a nearby patron a hard time for trying to demonstrate fairness and not knowing she wanted to give over the table to that particular couple. She went on about how they would never come back because it was their second attempt to visit her establishment. It is a busy place. There is limited seating. But this approach to business is not a way to keep customers. Very disappointing.
