I was excited to try this place on a recent visit – I love a good brew pub and this location is incredibly convenient if youre staying in the downtown area.Its not too large, open to the street front with lots of windows for natural light. Inside its very open, which makes it pretty loud for a relatively small space. Service was just average- I waited a while to be seated and there was something of a shortage of servers for a fairly busy post work crowd. The menu is fine – standard bar fare generally. Execution of the food front was very average unfortunately. French onion soup with badly burned cheese on top, pretty heavy on the salt, and yet surprisingly it that hot in its crock. The Cobb salad was okay but not great. On the plus side, the beer was pretty good, and with enough variety to appeal to most tastes.The price was reasonable- about $35 bar and tip in – but given the food quality, it didnt feel like great value. The three I gave it is too low, but four is too high, so there you go; 3.5 is closer to the mark. Ill go back because I like the space and the quality of the beer, but Im hoping for better from the kitchen next time.
