2019/04/25Before I headed to the airport I went to Jericho for dinner. This is small-ish but comfortable restaurant with seating for 36. Lots of paintings on the walls, artwork on the ceiling, and each table top has different painted artwork. Along with several interesting options, there were two falafel meals, the Falafel Plate and the Falafel Combination. I picked the latter, which came with falafel, homus, tabouleh and pita. The falafel balls were big, tasty, and cooked to perfection, with a hot, thin, crispy coating on the outside, and warm, soft, savoury flavours on the inside. When I first saw them I was wondering if it would be cooked all the way through, but they were just right. The homus was creamy and smooth, and the tabouleh fresh was piled high. The one negative was the pita. It was cold and a bit dry and chewy. I think it would have been possible to spritz it with some water and give it a quick grill, to warm it up and soften it. Service was polite and quick. Then again, only one other table was occupied. Except for the pita, a good meal.
