Best savoury waffles I’ve had, highly recommended for a great brunch. Everything was delicious, staff was extremely friendly and they even had a kids menu. Place is extremely cute in the nice and lively area of the Glebe.

Don’t bother with this place the service is terrible and the food is nothing special. It took our waitress over 30 minutes to get me water and a rum and coke. I had to ask her 3 times for this. By the last time I told her I just wanted water at this point and forget my rum and coke. She comes back about 5 minutes later with both. We were going to the I love 90’s concert so she tells us to get our orders in quickly so it will give us enough time to eat. This is around 6:20pm. Concerts at 7:30 to give some perspective. Well our food didn’t come til 7:15!!! I ordered steak fajitas. They didn’t seem to be seasoned. They weren’t steaming. She didn’t even deliver condiments til I’d had my food for about 5 minutes. So no salsa, cheese, etc. Any place I’ve ever been to to order fajitas these come out 1st so they’re ready when the food comes. The waitress disappeared for well over 30 minutes at one point so who knows where she was. She couldn’t keep track of our drink orders on our bills so getting out of there was a pain. She looked so frazzled by the time she finally came back to us that anytime someone asked her something she looked like she was going to freak out. My friends enchiladas were so dry he didn’t eat them. All in all was a let down. Disappointing because it does have a cool atmosphere in there. But I doubt I will give it a 2nd chance.

My wife and I went to Rosie’s for dinner, the restarant had a great atmosphere that made us feel welcomed. Being that it was a Tuesday night, it wasn’t too busy and there was only one server and bartender working on service. Once we where seated, drinks and starters where ordered, we both had a beer and shared a dozen oysters which were great. As soon as we received our appetizers I ordered our main course. My wife had the brisket burger and I had an 8oz beef tenderloin. These where well prepared but slightly under seasoned. The speed of service was the biggest issue. From being seated to getting our mains took over 90min.I would have expected better service with the restaurant being so slow

Went for a late dinner with a friend. We asked to be seated inside but the waitress prepared a table outside after we asked for inside – which was bizarre. We then asked to be moved inside which was not a problem since it was pretty empty. A new waitress took our order. I attempted to get information on the oysters and pricing – she repeatedly told me that I could get six for twelve special or two of these. I asked for clarification twice. same message. I had understood that i would be paying 12$ for 6 oysters so i ordered two of this. Bill came back as 32$ for twelve oysters. Waitress denied that she had stated six for 12 and when asked about whether she had told me the actual price for the oysters she admitted she had not. What the heck?!! Totally not worth it. Friend got the fried chicken and nachos – chicken she ended up throwing out and the nachos were highly unappealing – tortillas with some melted cheese and a drizzling of salsa. would not recommend this place. I am not going back.

A colleague recommended this restaurant to me. As soon as I walked in I had a great feeling about it. The atmosphere is really great. While it didn’t quite live up to my expectations in the end, I would likely try it again sometime. The hostess was nice, but our server was quite rude. Normally I do not care if my waitress looks like she has never smiled a day in her life, but she couldn’t make any wine recommendations, couldn’t tell us how big portion sizes were and she did not check in with us all meal until we were visibly done our food. It was definitely not what I expected from a nice restaurant like this. Our food was very good. I ordered the seared scallops and my boyfriend had the Southern fried chicken. The chicken was great and priced well, but the scallops were a huge disappointment. While they were delicious, they were also $35 for four small scallops and there were no sides. I was so hungry after our $110.00 dinner that we had to stop and get something on our way home. The dessert menu was also disappointing as it only had three or four options.I would definitely give this place another try as it is a beautiful little restaurant, but I would order something a bit more satisfying next time and probably plan for dessert somewhere nearby in the Glebe.

My new favourite restaurant in ottawa! I’m not kidding this place is spectacular. We had the mussels in wine sauce and the tacos. Both were appetizers and we left full. They must have given us 35 mussels for 15$ and I think the description is 12. It was ridiculous. They offer three different sauces, from which we chose the wine sauce and I think we found a winner. They gave us bread to dip in it and I honestly felt like drinking it from the bowl after we finished the bread. Only my pride stopped me, it was that good. And for 15$! We shared it and it was enough. My fianc also had the tacos and loved them. On top of all this the atmosphere is beautiful. It has a really pretty patio, plus a covered porch like area that you can still feel like you’re outside in but is covered, and an interior dinning area. I’m in love.
