Is no question it is the best breakfast in Ottawa. There is often a line going out the door. But don’t get discouraged. The line moves quickly. You go through the line order, pay and sit down. Your breakfast is brought to you. Everything is awesome .

I really liked how friendly this place was. The food was nothing special, but it was good value and exactly what it promised. The coffee was drinkable and plentiful. I got the Eggs Sunrise (or something like that) 3 eggs, 2 pancakes and hash browns. The eggs were perfectly cooked, they put the pancakes were very big, if a little bland. The put the pancakes on a separate plate which was a nice touch. The meal which easily was enough for two and coffee came to 11.40 after tax which is really good for the area. Where it shines is the customer service. I think they could get much better reviewed if they put a few fruit garnishes on plate, it would go along way toboost reviews. But I still recommend as a friendly diner.

A very ordinary diner in a great location. The place itself is quaint and cozy, staff are quick and friendly, but the food is terribly average. Possibly even below average. My poached eggs were overdone, the turkey bacon was blah and the home fries werent really seasoned at all.It is definitely a cheaper alternative to Wilf and Adas, Pressed, or any of the other breakfast places downtown, but you get what you pay for.

Sunset Grill is one of the many chain restaurants that dominate the new shopping centre at Ottawa’s Lansdowne Park.I decided to try this for breakfast. The place was about 40% full when i came in around 0930.I ordered one of their most basic breakfasts: 3 eggs, bacon, toast & tea. It came. And it was OK. The bare minimum: 1 container of jam, large chunk hash brown potatoes that were not really cooked through and had nothing else like onion or peppers to perk them up.The staff were friendly enough, with the manager chatting with some older folks that appear to already have become regulars. When the bill came, my total with tax was $12.14. Not outrageous, but I’m pretty sure I could get a more inspiring breakfast for as much, or less, from locally-owned restaurants, such as: Wilf & Ada’s, The Scone Witch, Pressed Caf or Stoneface Dolly’s.An interesting aside is that as I came up on the restaurant I saw a row of 5 Ottawa Police Service cruisers on the street outside. And indeed, there were 5 OPS officers inside having breakfast. So, a word of advice to any prospective bank robbers planning to have breakfast while they wait for the bank next door to open for the day: DON’T!

Our first time at this all day breakfast joint. We went on a Saturday and the place was semi packed. Very friendly staff. Food was good but nothing special. Did not like their pancakes. McDonald’s or Denny’s has better pancakes in our opinion. Food was quick but it took our waiter quite awhile just to give us the check. Overall the food and service were okay.

Lunch/Breakfast place that should please everyone. Good food at a good price.Friendly waiters and quick service. Best place for breakfast at Lansdowne by far!
