Located in the heart of Thornhill is Cafe Sheli. This Jewish Cafe/Restaurant serves up just about everything except the kitchen sink! They have a diverse menu that covers all facets of dining. Starting with breakfast, they have a wide selection of ways to get your day started. They have your regular two eggs the way you like and accompaniments, but also feature Israeli dishes like Bourekas and Shaksouka. That is just the start of it. They have blintzes, waffles French toast and more. Basically, they have all your breakfast needs covered! As for lunch and dinner you have so many selections it may take you a while on what to decide on, because there are simply so many options and they all sound super delicious! You can choose from a wide variety of appetizers to start or you can just dive right into the entrees. They have lots of salads, sandwiches and wraps, including delicious falafel wraps, and grilled cheese, and tuna melts, and a tunisian tuna wrap that is really something to dive into. For the main courses they have fish entrees like salmon, trout, tilapia, and of course a fan favourite fish and chips! Cafe Sheli also serves up pizzas and calzones, and they have a list of house pizzas or you can create your own from a list of toppings. So come on down to Thornhill and check out (more than just a) Cafe Sheli! allaboutvaughan.com
Not bad. I use to come here a lot when I was little. My favorite dish was the fish fingers and French fries, but since it was on the kids menu, when I turned 10 they wouldn’t let me have that meal anymore! Recently, I gave the restaurant another chance and got the fish and chips which were very good. This place is not bad.
Awesome Sunday Brunch!. I don’t know where to begin…..There were five of us. On a sunday morning, we were hungry! In total we ordered 8 dishes and shared…really the best way to do it! So… we had: Spinach egg white omelette with a side salad, an order of french toast..this was something special…hand cut challah bread..thickly sliced served with maple syrup…ohhhh..this was addictive; then we ordered a grilled vegetable wrap with home made hummous stuffed with tomatoes, purple onion, spinach leaves, tahini and lots and lots of hot sauce….EXCELLENT! Next, we had an order of cheese blintzes smothered in sour cream and apple sauce puree…..Mac N Cheese was also in attendance at our table…then we did Lasagna..we asked for extra sauce. And if that wasn`t enough…..we ordered dessert! Chocolate cupcake, chocolate sundae and a piece of cheesecake! We split them all and yes….everything was eaten! We had just come from a football game and we were starving! We are coming back next week for sure and hope we get a table. It was really busy but we were seated within 5 minutes!See you next week!06 Sep, 2012Best Breakfast!. I ordered the french toast for my son and the pancakes for my daughter. I added chocolate sauce and fresh blueberries on the side. I order an egg white omelette with spinach and fresh tomatoes. I not only ate my omelette which was delicious, but also finished off the kids french toast and pancakes. Boy, were they good and the portions were huge! Coffee was good and hot. Great place for breakfast!
Tunisian Tuna!?. If you are looking for a wrap that above average, you should try this one.The combination on this plate is delectable. The salad dressing is nice and creamy and the hot sauce is amazing! (I ask for more on the side – it’s my Israeli origin that asks for more spicy food)The Grilled Vegetable Salad & The Greek Omelet are other favorites of my family.
