The rating only comes from the food because service is pretty crappy here when the owner is not present like most korean establishments. Just a heads up! They give you a lot of side dishes compared to other korean restaurants and food here is always fresh. If you are taking someone out for korean food I definitely recommend this place. It is modern and clean. The best part is, it is extremely well ventilated!!! They are famous for their korean bbq and it is also really good and you dont wreak after!! So no need to change clothes and wash your hair afterwards! That turns me off the most about all korean bbq restos, but not here.
Had the seafood spicy hot pot medium size, kalbi dinner, green onion pancake appetizer, and the sweet and sour chicken. The free side dishes are good too, mainly the fish cake, kimchi, honey potatoes and peanuts. Kalbi and pancake are highlights.RM
WORST SERVICE !. I have never gone to the restaurant and had a server demaNd what I should tip them. I WILL NEVER return here. The food was nothing to be desired I have had better food at cheaper places.
Good food…still poor service. Went to Sariwon for a group dinner with kids. While the food was excellent and worth the price we were paying, the service continues to be lacking, especially for people with kids. The restaurant itself was pretty loud, with people talking, our kids did not contribute much to the noise, however we were continuously shushed by the waitresses and they kept asking us to keep the kids quiet (in an already noisy restaurant?!?!). They seem to be really against hearing laughter of children, and prefers drunken laughter of adults. This really ruin the dinner for us, doesn’t really matter how good tasting the food is, when you are treated like sh!t, the food taste like it too. This should not be the norm for any restaurant, saying this is Korean style is just giving them permission to be rude.
I think it’s Pretty Good.. I’ve eaten here several times and found the BBQ to be quite delicious. Their Chigae (Korean Spicy food) is not bad either. I would recommend it.
Real Korean BBQ. Not the kind that serves AYCE meat sauce and your clothes smell for weeks. This place is deadly delicious and wonderful service. A true, authentic place. I hope it never changes!
Let Meat Shine. It’s not terribly difficult to slice a bunch of meat, soak it in soy, sugar, sesame, onion, garlic and pear, and throw it on a flaming grill and come out with something tasty. That’s Korea barbecue as it’s found in most places, and I’m all for it. It’s a little bit rarer to find a Korean Barbecue place that lets the meat and not the marinade shine, as they do at Sariwon. The kalbi, in particular, is top notch, as Sariwon butchers in the traditional way by filleting it in layers away from the bone. The meat is tender and a light marinade adds flavour, but keeps the intense beef taste. The grills don’t use charcoal like other places, so you might miss the smoky flavour in the food, but I liked not having it on my clothes at the end of the meal. It’s all predictably pricey, but at least you can see where the money goes (it’s into the meat.)
