La Chaumiere was always my go-to spot for a decent breakfast. They are currently closed following a fire, but I look forward to them re-opening. Lunch and dinner specials were always good. Try their french canadian specials (tourtière, ragout, pudding chomeur, etc)

Very good French Canadian food. They serve breakfast all day. They just renovated and wow what a difference. Much nicer atmosphere
The food took over an hour to get to us. The amount of food you get for the price isn’t enough. the food was fresh and it had a good taste but I won’t be going back

I love the food here but the service could be better. Nothing really special about this place except the breakfast deal you can get until 11am and breakfast all day is always a great option!
Had the pan fried Walleye lunch, and it was terrific! Full of flavour, and not too greasy. I will definitely return to this restaurant to try something else.The decor is unassuming and classic greasy spoon, but don’t let that deter you.
