Dumplings are the must. Yet to try their other stuff. My 1 chicken dumpling order took 25 mins but it was a busy lunch hour so I guess that was the reason.Tip: Serve with a smile on your face
First off the homemade dumplings are great. Who doesn’t love homemade dumplings? Also they have other stuff on the menu that’s a fave such as the braised eggplant, the Chinese pancakes with meat, little pork strips and too many more to mention.Plus it’s cheap!! A must place to go for sure.
tried this location after eating at the newer location on Creditview. The place is rather cramped- maybe if the took out a couple of tables. I had hot and sour soup and fried pork dumplings. The soup portion was huge and the soup was good but not great. I have had better elsewhere. I prefer the fried dumplings over the steamed ones which seem a little bland. The vinegar that they serve is rather inferior and I’d prefer the red wine vinegar instead. Service was fast and efficient but not overly friendly- perhaps the language barrier?
Service without a smile. The place is small and they are trying to jam as many people in as possible, so you can barely move, feels like the seating on a budget airline. Food was average, nothing overwhelming. The servers were nice and friendly, but the owner doesn’t seem to like smiling. Don’t understand the hype.
Worst service I have ever seen .. I been there twice and both time they ignore me like I dont’ exist .. both times it took them 10 minutes to bring the menu paper and another 10 minutes to take the order.. first time they brought the order in 20 minutes… second time I waited for 40 minutes .. all this time I noticed other people sat around me gave the order and almost finished there lunch and ..here I am still waiting … all the 4, 5 employees were too busy at the front corner..doing.. god knows what .. for a small place like this do you think any of the 4,5 people would notice me …. NO .. non of them even looked up and tried look around the room .. too busy walking with there face down … finally I was so angry .. i walked up to the corner where they all stood … when they saw me they kind of remembered that i was there .. and they all ran in the cooking area … one of tall guys said … its ready .. its ready … I was so mad I didn’t want to create a scene and just walked away without saying anything … an hour was wasted … went back to work hungry and angry … Never going to this place ever again ..
Best dumplings in town. It’s in a strip mall but it’s loads better than fancier places and banquet halls in Markham.
We ordered the wonton soup, fried noodles, and steamed dumplings. The soup was served with a touch of seaweed and shrimp. Nice decoration to a simple bowl of soup. The noodles were not greasy. Shocked to see a large platter of dumplings. The bill came to under $20. Great food at a cheap price!
