It’s small in here, but boy are the dumplings good. I love them. I think about them a lot actually. I also had the leek pancake type thing which is my second favourite.
If you are looking for an authentic dumpling taste here is the place. I love the taste of the food in this restaurant and the healthiness. If you are not looking for a jazzy restaurant I suggest it.
If you want to eat fresh, home made style dumplings with almost no salt, this is a place. It really reminds the cooking style from north east of Shanghai.
We have eatan here a handful of times because I really wanted to have a dumpling place close to home with decent food. I cannot comment on the quality of the other dishes, but the dumplings are not very good, nor did we enjoy the smashed cucumber salad or the green onion pancake. This place is very hit and miss…Tonight we ate here and ordered two different types of dumplings, the shrimp and vegetable were unedible due to the off taste (they did not taste this bad last time). The server did not seem to care to inquire why we left the plate and did not want to take the food home. Disappointed!
Less variety of dishes but great food , ordered glutin free steamed rice with stir fry beef .. Great portioning n good customer service . Food was nice too .
I’ve never written a review, but believe that this place is severely underrated. Excellent handmade panned fried and steamed dumplings. Can’t go wrong. Order three kinds at once and have your mind blown. Decor is lacking. Take out is awesome.
For a taste of China in Koreatown, come to Chinese Dumpling House for a quick bite to eat. They have a variety of types of dumplings, either steamed or fried, as well as other noodle dishes. The service was friendly and quick, and since we were in a bit of a rush, the timing was perfect. The dumplings were delicious and authentic, and you can also purchase frozen ones to take home. The only problem is that the dumplings are served on a plate of 15 (steamed) or 12 (fried) and you cannot mix up the flavours or cooking styles. You have to order all 15 or 12 of a single flavour. Perfect to share with a friend, or if you go alone, you had better be hungry. The prices were very good, a plated of 12 dumplings shared between two people came to $6.75 and were verydelicious.
