Homey. I started coming here based on a recommendation by some friends who frequent this place regularly. It is a Hong Kong-style restaurant serving breakfast type foods in the daytime and HK-inspired western food at night. I recommend coming here at night for their set dinners. For about $10 dollars, you can get a hot tea/coffee (upgrades to cold or speciality cost a little extra) with delicious garlic bread, soup (I like the Chinese borscht), and baked pork chop and chicken (for example) with your choice of sides and a small dessert (usually a pudding or jelly) that finishes the meal perfectly. Simple but delicious and hearty. The curry is good and cheap ($8) too but is inconsistent. Lobster bisque (which sometimes you have the option to upgrade to) is hit-or-miss for some people. They have holiday specials and the staff is mostly Cantonese speaking (they may assume you speak it as well if you’re Asian) but non-Cantonese speakers can get by. Highly recommend!
